Ski Alpin: Rupture of the cruciate ligament!

Stephanie Brunner has suffered a serious injury in her last race of the current season. On the women’s downhill run of the Austrian Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, the Tyrolean ruptured her cruciate ligament and meniscus in her left knee without falling.

“The situation was actually very unspectacular,” Brunner said, “I only got one punch, but it was immediately clear to me that something in the knee did not fit.

According to the ÖSV, the 24-year-old will be operated in Innsbruck on Tuesday evening.
