Basketball: Alba Berlin up to six weeks without Butterfield

Alba Berlin has to manage without Spencer Butterfield at the start of the new season of the German Basketball Bundesliga.

The US Guard has contracted a ligament injury in the left ankle joint and is absent for four to six weeks.

The former series champion Berlin will be competing at the 30th Berlin Motor Show.September at the start of the semi-finalist ratiopharm Ulm.Butterfield (24) injured himself on Tuesday in a preparatory match against Spanish club CB Gran Canaria (73:85).
