Biathlon: DM: Peiffer wins the title in mass start

Four-time biathlon world champion Arnd Peiffer (Clausthal-Zellerfeld) triumphed at the German championship in the mass start.The 30-year-old relegated Florian Graf (Eppenschlag) and local hero Johannes Kühn to the ranks in Ruhpolding after 15 km and won his tenth national title.

For Peiffer, silver medallist with the relay at the Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi, it was already the fourth German championship title in mass production.

The women will be on roller skis starting at 1 p. m. over a distance of 12.5 km and will start the race in mass.On Sunday the relay competitions take place.
