Golf: Gal in Evian among the Top 20, Masson beaten

Sandra Gal and Caroline Masson delivered very mixed performances at the last major tournament of the season in Evian-les-Bains.Gal was 14th in the US Tour Tournament, shortened to three laps due to rain, with 211 strokes in total, and Masson’s 81 strokes in ten bogeys after a catastrophic last round, finishing in 72nd place (223nd).

The winner was the Swedish Anna Nordqvist.She won in the jump-off against Brittany Altomare from the USA and celebrated her second major title after the LPGA Championship 2009.Both had needed 204 strokes for 54 holes.
