Golf: Johnson wins play-off against Spieth

US golfer Dustin Johnson has won the US tournament in Old Westbury/New York after a chase to catch up in the jump-off.The world number one in the rankings came out on top against his fellow countryman Jordan Spieth at the 8.75 million dollar event in the jump-off on the first extra hole.

Spieth had already led on the Par-70 course on the final lap with five strokes, but Johnson took advantage of his colleague’s weaknesses.Both of them needed 267 strokes.Jhonattan Vegas from Colombia and the Spaniard Jon Rahm shared third place with 271 strokes.
