Handball: DFL boss: Premier League behind Handball

Christian Seifert has commented on the popularity of handball in Germany compared to the English Premier League in football.The DFL boss came to a surprising conclusion.

“We have been observing for some years that interest in handball has been rising since 2013.There are more people in Germany interested in handball than in the Premier League.And that speaks for the development of handball and the great potential,”said Seifert at Kretzschmar – the handball talk.

And the managing director of the German Football League continues:”Handball is by far the number two team sport in Germany and rightly develops more self-confidence.

Seifert also commented on the attractiveness of handball in comparison to football:”The intensity and atmosphere in the halls is simply very strong.In addition, handball is a sport that offers very close games, something always happens and a lot of goals are scored.”
