NBA: Colangelo:”Embiid will be there at the beginning.”

The Philadelphia 76ers continue to be very careful with Center Joel Embiid. The Big Man is carefully brought back to the team. The Cameroonian is not yet allowed to participate in the normal five-on-five.At the start of the season, however, the five-man team is to be there.

“When you go into the hall, it looks like Embiid can play five-on-five basketball,” said Team President Bryan Colangelo to ESPN,”but we’ll be careful to make sure he’s fully cured and Embiid” hyperconservative “is brought back to life, according to Colangelo.

Nevertheless, Embiid will be playing for the Sixers in the pre-season.It is still unclear how much he will play,”We are not sure yet.We will also listen to the advice of the doctors”, but we will also repeat:”He will be in the first training session and will also play the first game. The only question is to what extent this will happen.”

Another question around Embiid concerns his contractual situation. The Cameroonian becomes a Restricted Free Agent in the summer of 2018.The deadline for a possible extension is the 16th day of the month.October.Colangelo was also optimistic here.

The center missed the first two years of its career in the league due to injuries.Last season he entered the court for the first time. But even then the Big Man played only 31 games, in which he played an average of 20.2 points and 7.8 rebounds.
