NFL: Elliott to Denver:”No excuse”

The Dallas Cowboys had an unusually weak game against the Denver Broncos, especially offensively – especially Ezekiel Elliott was criticized for his effort. The Running Back now faced the accusations.

Amongst others, Hall-of-Fame-Back LaDainian Tomlinson had publicly criticized Elliott harshly for his lack of commitment, and on Thursday Elliott said for the first time after the bankruptcy in Denver:”Of course, I noticed that. You could say it looked like that.I was just frustrated, but that’s no excuse for the lack of commitment you’ve seen on tape.I can’t let that happen to me.”

The Running Back further emphasized:”As a leader and player that the others rely on, you can’t see anything like that from me” Elliott also revealed that the team had “addressed” the situation internally.

In any case, the bad bet in Denver, where Elliott scored eight rushing yards against a schematically outstanding Broncos defense, is “not the kind of player I am and not the kind of player I am for this team.I just can’t do that.I was frustrated and I wasn’t myself.”
