NBA: Trump withdraws invitation for Stephen Curry

Controversial US President Donald Trump has responded extremely thinly to basketball superstar Stephen Curry’s criticism,”Inviting to the White House is a great honour for a master team.Stephen Curry hesitates, so the invitation is withdrawn,”wrote Trump on his private Twitter account.

Curry had announced on Friday that he did not want to accept the President’s mandatory invitation for NBA Champion Golden State Warriors:”By acting and not going there, we can hopefully encourage change for what we tolerate and accept in this country,”said the 28-year-old:”I don’t think this step will do anything better. But it’s my way of addressing things.”

Curry’s teammate Kevin Durant had already announced in August that he would not accept Trumps’ invitation,”I wouldn’t come.I have no respect for the man who’s in the Oval Office right now.I don’t share his views,”said the “most valuable player” of the past final series in the North American professional league at the time.
