“We are thrilled to welcome Carmelo to Oklahoma City.In addition to his skills, experience and unique talents, Carmelo is another full professional with a flawless character in our team,”said General Manager Sam Presti.Anthony plays alongside MVP Russell Westbrook and Paul George among others.

The 33-year-old Anthony, who was drafted in 2003 together with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade, moved to New York in 2011 from the Denver Nuggets. In the last four years, however, the two-time champion did not qualify for the playoffs, which is why Anthony has been flirting with a change for quite some time.

After the departure of superstar Kevin Durant in 2016, Oklahoma City had already signed Olympic gold medallist George von den Indiana Pacers for the coming season and upgraded his squad considerably.
