NBA: Coach Pop: The United States is an embarrassment.

The dispute between the NBA and US President Donald Trump continues to ripple. Now Spurs coach Popovich joined in and declared the USA to be an embarrassment. He also compared Trump to a sixth grader.

The USA has become a “embarrassment for the world” since Donald Trump took office, Popovich explained at the Media Day of the Spurs. He described the US president as “delusional” and accused him of fomenting fear and acting “racial inflammatory” for no reason.

“We know who has the power in our country. We know that racism exists. But unfortunately, it’s far beyond that. What worries me is the people surrounding the president. These are intelligent people who know exactly what is happening and who were actually critical of the President’s actions. But it now seems that these people are simply accepting the behaviour of trumps,”Pop explained.

Therefore, it is all the more important that other people of great influence – such as the NBA and NFL players – call for protest and address problems.Because:”We know that there is this elephant in the room that represents racism. But the problem will not be solved until we all talk enough about it and raise our voices.”

“I also wonder,”Pop continued,”where the limit is for the people who voted for him. What else will they tolerate? When do they have morals and decency, too?”

Pop also commented on the explicit argument between Trump and the Warriors. After they had declared not to accept the invitation to the White House, Trump withdrew the invitation. This is, according to Pop,”like the behaviour of a sixth grader who celebrates a birthday party in his garden and notices that nobody is coming. And then he just unloads them all. This behavior is repugnant on the one hand, but it’s just ridiculous on the other.”
