Handball: HBL: Flensburg leads the standings

Vice champion SG Flensburg-Handewitt has caught up with TSV Hannover-Burgdorf in the Handball Bundesliga.On the seventh day of the match, coach Maik Machulla’s team celebrated a commanding 32:29 (16:15) win against the rising star Die Eulen Ludwigshafen in front of 5569 spectators.

The SG had a hard time in the first half of the third game within six days.A 5:0-series after the break put the hosts on a winning streak, the most successful thrower was Rasmus Lauge Schmidt with eight goals.

In the table, Flensburg and the front runner Hannover scored ten points, but one more game.Ludwigshafen is 17th (2:10) in the early part of the season to fight for class retention.
