Warm meal for Dirk Nowitzki: The 39-year-old basketball star from Würzburg was given money for lunch by a fan of Dallas Mavericks.According to Nowitzki on Twitter, he received a letter with 20 dollars from the trailer during a public training session.

The letter said,”You’ve cut your salary over the past six years to help the team pick up new talent and win a title.Lunch’s on me, big guy.”

In the past, Nowitzki had repeatedly foregone money in favor of the sporting perspective.In the summer, he signed a two-year contract worth ten million dollars (8.8 million euros).Dallas had not taken his option to extend the existing contract by a further year for 25 million dollars (21.1 million euros) and Dallas had not withdrawn the contract.
