NFL: Trump lags behind in anthem fight

U. S. President Donald Trump has resurrected the protests in the NFL:”It’s very important that the NFL players stand tomorrow and always when our national anthem is played,” Trump wrote on Saturday on Twitter:”Respect our flag and our country.

Numerous professionals have been kneeling for some time now during the traditional ceremony before the matches to fight racial discrimination and police violence in the USA.After Trump had therefore publicly attacked players, league and club owners, the protests increased.There are 14 NFL matches on Sunday.

In the NBA preparation game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves, the players hung their arms together as the anthem ran.Previously, the professional basketball league had confirmed in a memo to all 30 teams that according to regulations, all professionals must be present at the ceremony.In the event of misconduct, the NBA reserves the right to punish the respective players.
