NHL: Seidenberg and Greiss in good shape

Dennis Seidenberg and Thomas Greiss presented themselves in good shape shortly before the NHL season kick-off.With the New York Islanders, the two Germans won their last test match at the Philadelphia Flyers 5-2.Seidenberg (36), voted best defender of the home World Cup in May, scored a strike shot.Goalkeeper Greiss (31) saved 31 shots.

The Islanders completed their preparations with six victories from eight encounters.The team from Brooklyn will play their first match of the new season on Friday (local time) at the Columbus Blue Jackets.

At the start of the North American professional league, defending champions Pittsburgh Penguins face Tom Kühnhackl against the St. Paul’s team on Wednesday.Louis Blues and the Edmonton Oilers with Leon Draisaitl challenged against the Calgary Flames.
