Last season there were some rumours that LaMarcus Aldridge was dissatisfied with the San Antonio Spurs. The Power Forward confirmed this, but is optimistic about the coming season.
“Last year we looked far too little in the mail.It was more about finding other ways to scor,”LMA told ESPN.But this season’s supposed to be different:”If I get into position quickly, I’ll get the ball. It’s all connected.”
So Aldridge indirectly admitted that his commitment in the last two years was not always correct,”The team and I seem to have made mistakes.I often had the feeling that I would not get the ball. That’s probably why I didn’t jump over the court as often as I should have.”
So it was the classic chain reaction after Aldridge:”They didn’t look at me anymore and it was too late”, but Aldridge is more optimistic for 2017/18,”I’ll run faster and take a position quickly. They won’t miss me, so it’ll get better.”
Aldridge played his statistically worst season since his rookie year.In 72 games he played an average of 17.3 points and 7.3 rebounds. He scored a career high from the three-point line. From the perimeter, the Big Man hit 41.1 percent of his experiments.
