NFL: Indianapolis Colts unveils Manning statue

The Indianapolis Colts from the US professional football league NFL have unveiled a statue of their former star player in honour of Peyton Manning.The bronze work of art stands in front of the north side of Lucas Oil Stadium and shows the former quarterback close to a litter.

Manning (41) had led the Colts to the second Super Bowl triumph in the club’s history in 2007.Last year, the “Sheriff” and Denver Broncos won the NFL title again and resigned after that.

“I am deeply, deeply touched.It’s a remarkable honor.Thank you Indianapolis, thank you Indiana.I’m proud to have been a citizen of this city,”said Manning:

“The number of the former playmaker (18) is no longer assigned by the franchise.
