NHL: Ovechkin cracks 100-year-old brand

Stanley Cup champion Tom Kühnhackl has given the answer to Thursday’s debacle with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL.Alex Ovechkin writes history, Tobias Rieder meets – and Leon Draisaitls Oilers lose.

Two days after the 1:10 package at the Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh won 4:0 against the Nashville Predators for the German national team.The defending champion had suffered the highest defeat since 2003 during the week.

Leon Draisaitl had his first defeat with the Edmonton Oilers.After the dream start against the Calgary Flames (3:0) the Canadians lost 2:4 at the Vancouver Canucks.

Korbinian Holzer lost with the Anaheim Ducks against the Philadelphia Flyers (2:3 AD).
