Germany’s golfing icon Bernhard Langer doubts that US star Tiger Woods (41) will find his way back to his former strength:”I think Tiger Woods will never come back as a golfer to where he once was.He was too long away from his former level,”the 60-year-old said in an interview with the Stuttgarter Zeitung and the Stuttgarter Nachrichten.
Langer sees Woods’ physical condition as a major problem:”If you believe him what he says, that is, that something is always hurting him, he won’t be able to do that anymore. It’s been going on for years, and the longer it lasts, the harder it’ll be for him.”
The once best golfer in the world had taken part in a tournament in Dubai last February due to persistent back problems, but had already given up after one round due to too much pain.In April, Woods was operated on his back for the fourth time.

In addition, the 14-times Major-winner has had several coaches and tried a new swing technique again and again:”His swing is not as strong as that of people who have been doing a swing for thirty years”.
Langer himself is in such good shape, because he always takes some time out “I know that I have to take breaks every now and then, in which I put the clubs away. Then I’ll take care of my fitness or regenerate. After that, I’ll be back on the pitch and have a real bite,”said Langer, who won five titles on the Champions Tour this year.
