NHL: Golden Knights win home premiere

Ten days after the massacre, the Vegas Golden Knights have won their emotional home debut in the NHL with 58 casualties.Las Vegas beat the Arizona Coyotes 5-2 in their first-ever game of a professional team in Nevada.

“Like all of you, I am proud to call Las Vegas my home,”said Capt. Deryk Engelland in a speech before the game,”I met my wife here, my children were born here, I know how special this city is,” Engelland thanked the first responders and promised support to the families and friends of the victims:”We will do everything we can to make this city heal”.

The game was themed “WHEN THINGS GET DARK, LAS VEGAS SHINES. #VegasStrong”.With various pre-game actions, the teams and 17,000 spectators commemorated the deaths of the dead at the worst mass shootout in the history of the USA on 1 January.October.

The 5-2 defeat of Tobias Rieder’s coyotes was the third victory in the third game for the new franchise.Rieder met in the first quarter for the guests.
