DEL: Adler Mannheim for weeks without Festerling

The Adler Mannheim have to forego Garrett Festerling, the attacker, for up to six weeks. The 31-year-old German-Canadian suffered a hand injury in the match in the Champions Hockey League on Tuesday against Esbjerg Energy.

This raises the personnel concerns for the seven-time champions, who currently have to do without the injured top performers Mathieu Carle, Ryan MacMurchy, Brent Raedeke and David Wolf. That’s another reason why the eagles in defender Mark Stuart and striker Andrew Desjardins signed two NHL-experienced pros at short notice.
