DEL: Polar bears are new top DEL rider

The Polar Bears Berlin have taken the lead in the DEL.The ex-champion overthrew the Nuremberg Ice Tigers by his fourth victory in a row with 3:1 (1:1,2:0,0:0) against the Schwenninger Wild Wings at least for 24 hours.

However, Berlin could be replaced on Friday as a league primus in the event of a Nuremberg victory against the Krefeld penguins.Schwenningen, on the other hand, will have to fear for his place in the upper half of the standings after his second defeat.

The polar bears did not get into motion until after the guided tour by Markus Poukkula (19th) in front of 8841 spectators.
