Ice hockey: Champions Hockey League: Munich in the last 16 against Bern

The German champion Red Bull Munich will face the Swiss top club SC Bern as the winner of the group in the quarter-finals of the Champions Hockey League.That was the result of the draw on Friday in Helsinki.Adler Mannheim is confronted with Munich’s Swedish group opponent Brynäs IF.

“We played against Bern in the preparation phase, so we were able to get to know our opponent.We have seen how strong they are,”said Red Bull captain Michael Wolf.The club from the DEL had beaten the Swiss champions in August in an invitational tournament.

The first round of the Round of 16 will take place on 31 March.October and 1st OctoberThe second half of the season will take place on 7 November.November.Munich is expected to go away for the time being, Mannheim would have a home in the first game as the runner-up of their group.Vice champion Grizzly’s Wolfsburg had failed in the group stage.
