Golf: Kieffer in Monza on sixth place

Duesseldorf-based golf pro Maximilian Kieffer is facing his best result of the year at the Italian Open in Monza.The 27-year-old is in sixth place after three rounds and a total of 200 strokes (13 under par).

Kieffer’s best result in the current season so far is a twelfth place from January in Abu Dhabi.

Florian Fritsch, however, fell back on the par-71 course.The Munich player played a 69 round and with 203 strokes he is on the split 21st place.Rank.

The Englishman Matt Wallace leads with a total of 196 strokes.Former world number one Martin Kaymer (Mettmann) missed the cut.
