NFL: Vikings get help from Game of Thrones Star

The Minnesota Vikings leave no stone unturned before the duel with the Green Bay Packers. The Vikings have invited Game of Thrones star Thor Bjornsson – known in the series as “The Mountain”, a huge warrior – as a stoker.

The Icelander comes from weight training and achieved worldwide fame with the TV series because of his gigantic stature – now he should lead the Vikings fan song before the game, matching his own background.

Bjornsson will first let the gigantic Gjallarhorn sound before he introduces the Skol-Chant, which is also known to football fans by the Icelandic national team.

The Vikings will meet the Green Bay Packers in Week 6, it could be a first step in the NFC North. If Minnesota loses, Green Bay would have already won two games ahead of the competition and, for the time being, the direct comparison. The Vikes have to do without Quarterback Sam Bradford and Star-Receiver Stefon Diggs again.
