McCollum had left Blazers Bank during a pack formation at the Preseason game against the Phoenix Suns at the time of the incident.

McCollum explained to ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski:”Actually, I’ve been in the league too long to allow myself such a mental drop-out.I would like to apologize to my team and the franchise for this.It won’t happen again.”
