Olympia: Olympia 2026: Tyrol says “No”.

The majority of the Tyroleans voted against an application for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games by Tyrol/Innsbruck in the referendum on Sunday following the preliminary final result.

46.65% of the population voted “yes”, while 53.35% voted “no”.The majority of the cities were against an application, the rural communities were more in favour.

Some of the venues also voted “yes”with clear majorities.In Innsbruck, however, the result was clearly against an application with 32.95 to 67.41 percent.The voting cards could still turn the result upside down, but contrary to expectations, around two thirds would have to vote “yes”.
