The new season is about to start – so it’s high time for the first Power Ranking!Which newly formed superteams perform best? How untouchable are the Warriors? And where do the German representatives end up (among other things, where do they end up in the last two places)?

Place 30: Chicago Bulls. The rebuild in Windy City is the right way to go, but if you use playoff participation as a yardstick, it’s very long. Now the focus is on player development, including that of Zipser. The German player started in all five Preseason games and has to prove himself until the comeback of LaVine. But he won’t be able to deliver victories.
Place 29: Atlanta Hawks. The next team in transition and without ambitions in the coming season.Only three players are left from the 60 win time of 2014/15.The most prominent of these is Dennis Schröder, who has to show that he can be not only a leader, but also a star.Regardless of its performance, however, it is time to do some tanking.
28th place: Brooklyn Nets. The good news: there’s a solid plan for the future and even some picks in Brooklyn. The bad news: the team is still bad and will lose a lot.The Cavaliers are happy about that. After all, it should be attractive thanks to astronomical pace.Player to watch: D’ Angelo Russell!
Place 27: Phoenix Suns.Booker, Jackson, Bender, Chriss, Len: The future of the Suns has many names. But that doesn’t change the fact that the present has many defeats to learn from.It is worth switching into the game if you feel like going on the offensive!
Place 26: Orlando Magic. After years of insignificance and lack of planning, the Magic have replaced their almost complete front office. This team has put together a team that showed structured (!) basketball in the preseason.Simmons could be one of the great steals of the off-season, Rookie Isaac still has a lot of work to do.What happens to Vucevic?
Place 25: Indiana Pacers. The price Indiana got for Paul George was ridiculous. Now it’s rebuild – but with Myles Turner (MIP candidate!) and Victor Oladipo there are only two players who are hoping for the future. What style coach McMillan wants to bring up with this strange squad is also unclear.
Place 24: New York Knicks. With Jackson, Anthony and Rose the Big Apple was able to throw some ballast. Now a little bit of peace and quiet should finally come, if this is possible at all in the Garden. If Porz gets off to a flying start and Hardaway even remotely justifies his contract, there could even be victories against the East – even if there were five blunders in the pre-season.How does Ntilikina develop?
Place 23: Sacramento Kings. With Z-Bo, Vince Carter and George Hill, the Kings have caught three veterans who cover all positions.Talented players such as Buddy Hield, De’ Aron Fox and Willie Cauley-Stein can only profit from this.Even though this may sound strange in connection with the kings: You can probably look at it without fear.
Place 22: Los Angeles Lakers. Thanks to Big Baller Ball, the Lakers are back on top again, at least in terms of attention. This doesn’t apply to sports – but all the talent around Lonzo, Brandon Ingram, Julius Randle and the potential draft steal of the year Kyle Kuzma (17.3 points per game in the preseason) raises hope for great times.
21st place: Dallas Mavericks.Dirk’s use of the Mavs in the center position has also brought them into a new look thanks to Dennis Smith. It’s probably not enough for the playoffs, but the balance between a worthy career conclusion for Nowitzki and a successful future afterwards is preserved.Only the opaque situation at Nerlens Noel clouds the picture.
