Cycling: Italy’s cycling star Aru moves to the Emirates

Italy’s Fabio Aru will be moving from the Kazakh team Astana to the UAE Team Emirates next season.The team from the United Arab Emirates announced on Tuesday that the 27-year-old Vuelta winner of 2015 will be awarded a three-year contract.

“We welcome a real champion to the team.With his skills, Fabio is a perfect match for our ambitions,”said team manager Carlo Saronni.Aru is supposed to fight for the Arabs to win the Tour de France.

UAE, which emerged from the Italian Lampre team in 2017, continues to be a powerful armament.Previously, the sixth place finisher of the Irish Tour, Daniel Martin, and classic star Alexander Kristoff (Norway) had already followed lucrative offers from the Emirates.
