DEL: Replacement for Wesslau: Sharks pick up former NHL goalkeeper Peters

The Cologne sharks have committed the Canadian goalkeeper Justin Peters (31).The former NHL pro is to replace the Swedish regular Gustaf Wesslau, who will be eliminated indefinitely due to a knee injury.

“Now we can give Gustaf enough time in rehab to get back into the squad 100% fit.With Daniar Dshunussow, Gustaf Wesslau, Justin Peters and Hannibal Weitzmann, we now have a strong Goalie quartet in the squad,”said Shark Director Mark Mahon.

Peters has played a total of 83 NHL matches for the Carolina Hurricanes, Washington Capitals and Arizona Coyotes.The routine comes from Dinamo Riga/Latvia.
