MLB: Baker no longer national manager

Dusty Baker will no longer be the manager of Washington Nationals next year. This was announced by the club on Friday.

“It was an incredibly difficult decision for us. Dusty Baker led our team to the first divisional title defence in Nationals history and represented our club with great class on and off the pitch,”the owners said.

And he continues:”He is a true gentleman in our sport and we thank him for the successes we enjoyed together. We wish him all the best for the future.”

Baker’s contract had expired after two years in Washington at the end of the Nationals’ season. The 68-year-old and the rest of the coach team have to leave the club.
