NBA: League asks Boogie to check out

DeMarcus’ cousins from the New Orleans Pelicans is getting paid by the League. The center has to pay $25,000 to a fan because of inappropriate words.

This was announced by the League in a statement. The incident occurred during the Pelicans’ tour of the Memphis Grizzlies, when cousins faced a technical foul 50 seconds before the end of the match. This foul was revised by the League. Cousins explained after the match that he had been insulted by a fan and that the technical foul was unjustified.

“The Ref was around and heard the fan insult me. I shouldn’t have answered, but I’m only human. I’m not gonna let another person treat me like this,”Cousins said.

Cousins played 28 points, 10 rebounds and 7 blocks (Career High) in Memphis at the start of the season. Last season, no player had more technical fouls than Boogie – 18 in all.
