Tobogganing: German Championship: Langenhan and Geisenberger cheer

About four weeks before the start of the World Cup season, Andi Langenhan and Natalie Geisenberger showed good early form at the German Luge Championships. In Altenberg, Langenhan secured the title for the second time at the beginning of the Olympic winter in Altenberg, with the 33-year-old Johannes Ludwig and Olympic champion Felix Loch relegating him to the ranks. Olympic champion Geisenberger celebrated her fifth title ahead of local heroine Jessica Tiebel and Dajana Eitberger.

In the doubles’ competition, last season’s overall World Cup winners Toni Eggert and Sascha Benecken were unbeatable. They relegated Olympic champions Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt and Robin Geueke/David Gamm to the places. The Bavarian team with Geisenberger, Loch and Wendl/Arlt won the final team relay.
