Golf: Thanks to Eagle at the last hole: Langer celebrates his 35th birthday.

Golf icon Bernhard Langer has celebrated his 35th birthday on the Champions Tour thanks to an impressive final spurt. Victory celebrated. The 60-year-old scored an eagle in the final hole of the Richmond/Virginia tournament. With a double win, he passed the leading Scott Verplank (USA).

“I missed so many putts. To be honest, there wasn’t much self-confidence,”said Langer after the triumph,”I can only remember a tournament where I won the last hole.”

On the tour of the golfers, who are 50 years or older, Langer is still the measure of all things. The two-time US-Masters-Champion has won six victories of the season, which is why he leads the annual ranking. He had already won this one six times, the last three times in a row.
