Handball: Magdeburg wins Swedish international Albin Lagergren

SC Magdeburg has secured the services of Swedish international Albin Lagergren (25). The backroom player will switch next summer from Champions League participant IFK Kristianstad to the Bundesliga and signed a contract with the SCM until 2020. Meanwhile, the contract of Serbian left-hander Nemanja Zelenovic, which expires after the season, will not be renewed.

“Internationally, Albin has been attracting attention for a long time, and in handball he is undoubtedly one of the greatest talents in the right back,”said Magdeburg coach Bennet Wiegert. His move to the Bundesliga is a logical step and we are glad that he has chosen the SCM despite further offers from the Bundesliga,”said Wiegert.
