NBA: World Peace becomes G-League coach

Metta World Peace has a new mission. After the former Lakers player finished his career this summer, the 37-year-old is now assistant coach of South Bay Lakers, the Los Angeles Lakers’ G-League team.

This is what the South Bay Lakers came out in a press release. World Peace had not yet officially announced its career end, but the Free Agency was very calm about the veteran. Now the two-time champion of the Lakers will remain in his new role.

The 37-year-old becomes part of the coaching staff around head coach Coby Karl, the son of George Karl and former player of the MHP giant Ludwigsburg. World Peace will be on duty today when South Bay will complete its first official training session for the new season.
