The Foxes Berlin will be joined next season by European champion Simon Ernst (23). In the summer of 2018, the international player changes from VfL Gummersbach to the Spree and signed a two-year contract with the current leader of the standings until 2020. This was announced by the foxes on Wednesday.
“Simon Ernst is our absolute dream player. He fits 100 percent of our team in terms of sport and character,”said Berlin’s managing director Bob Hanning.
“We are very happy that a German talent like Simon Ernst has chosen the foxes of Berlin, despite numerous offers. This makes us proud and shows that we are successful with our idea and our concept.”
Backroom player Ernst, who is currently in rehab after a torn cruciate ligament in his left knee, completed the medical check on the foxes this weekend.
“The overall sporting package has prompted me to make this decision. The ambitions of the foxes and mine are the same. I want to play internationally with the club and participate in the development of this great club,”said Ernst.
