NBA: Because of Ball-Tweet: Lakers mad at Gortat

On Thursday night, the Washington Wizards will perform at the Los Angeles Lakers (from 4:30 a. m. at the LEAGUE PASS). Due to a tweet, the Lakers are particularly motivated.

On Monday, Wizards-Center Marcin Gortat wrote on Twitter that John Wall Lakers-Rookie will “torture” Lonzo Ball. That was well received by the Lakers, as Brandon Ingram admitted on Tuesday.

“Yes, we saw it, of course,”said Ingram,”everyone has social media, so we saw it. Lonzo’s not so enthusiastic about the competition, of course, and neither are we as his teammates.”

Gortat had referred to a statement from Ball’s father LaVar, who had said:”The Wizards better watch out, because Lonzo won’t lose again this week.”

As usual, the rookie himself said little about the whole affair,”I know that my teammates will back me up anyway. That’s why we’re going to go out there and hopefully win,”Ball said,”It should be a lot of fun.[Wall] is one of the best point guards in the league and I’m just trying to compete with him.”
