Handball: German Handballers without Wiencek against Spain

The German handball team will have to do without Patrick Wiencek in the two tough tests against Spain this weekend.

The THW Kiel’s circle runner will not return to the team after a dental operation this week. This was announced by the DHB on Thursday. National coach Christian Prokop refused to make a subsequent nomination.

With the European champions Jannik Kohlbacher from HSG Wetzlar and Hendrik Pekeler from master craftsman Rhein-Neckar Löwen, Prokop considers itself well positioned for the double new edition of the European Championship final.

The first match will be played on Saturday in Magdeburg (14.15 hrs/ZDF), the second match will be played on Sunday in Berlin (14.30 hrs/ARD). Wiencek had received an elbow in the face in the Bundesliga on Saturday at the Füchsen Berlin.
