NFL: Wrong socks: $6000 fine for NFL pro Paul

Footballer Niles Paul has to pay for the wrong choice of socks. The Washington Redskins tight end was fined $6,000 for wearing black socks in last weekend’s match against the Philadelphia Eagles (24:34) in the NFL pro league.

According to the rulebook, however, they must be white from the shoe to the middle of the calf.

Paul announced on Twitter that he had been sanctioned:”I think they want us to look exactly like the animated players at Madden out there,”the 28-year-old wrote, referring to a famous video game.
