NHL: Austrians celebrate goal-festival in the NHL

The fourth line helped the New York Rangers beat the Arizona Coyotes in the late duel of the NHL on Thursday. Michael Grabner scores two and three with his season’s goals as well as Pawel Buchnewitsch scores twice at 5:2.

Thomas Vanek opened the Vancouver Canucks’ scoring round with his fourth goal of the season (13th) in a 6-2 draw with Washington.

Grabner defeated keeper Adin Hill in two of his eight shots: After assisting the rookie centre Boo Nieves, Grabner scored 3-1 (26th) and the final score in the empty goal (60th). The Coyotes claimed their tenth defeat in the tenth match and were the only team to remain victorious. Thomas Vanek scored his goal in his only shot of the match, marking the fourth consecutive victory in the series. With 13 points, the Canucks are number four of the Western Conference.

Michael Raffl and the Philadelphia Flyers won the second consecutive defeat with the 4:5 in Ottawa. The flyers were already 0:3 and 2:5.
