Ski Alpin: German victory in Sölden, ÖSV skies past Stockerl

On Saturday, the German Viktoria Rebensburg won the giant slalom in Sölden at the start of the Alpine Ski World Cup and thus repeated her 2010 victory. Her 13th. RTL’s success, the 15th overall. The 28-year-old Olympic champion of 2010 won her career in the World Cup, ahead of Tessa Worley (FRA/+0.14 seconds) and half-time top rider Manuela Mölgg (ITA/0.53).

Stephanie Brunner from Tyrol improved from ninth to fourth place (+0.71) in the final. The Zillertalerin missed the podium by 0.18 seconds. World Cup winner Mikaela Shiffrin (USA), the second after the first run, finished fifth (+0.74).
