Golf: Tiger Woods announces comeback at the end of November

Tiger Woods will make his comeback at the end of November after months of injury. This was announced by the US-American on Monday. Woods, who hasn’t played since his early retirement in Dubai at the beginning of February due to persistent backache, will start at the top-class Hero World Challenge, which he has organized himself.

“I’m happy to get back into the competition,”said the 41-year-old:”Albany is the perfect venue and it will be great to play in this exceptional field. I want to thank my fans for their support during my injury.”

The 14-times Major-Champion had been operated on the damaged back for the fourth time in April. In mid-October Woods returned to training.

The Hero World Challenge features 18 pros, including Woods, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Justin Rose.
