MLB: Two more team legends leave Miami

The team legend exodus at the Miami Marlins continues. A few days after already “Mr. Marlin” Jeff Conine’s hat, Tony Perez and Andre Dawson have now also ended their collaboration with the two-time World Series Champion.

“They say they wanted us in the organization. But we didn’t like the way they wanted us in the organisation,”Perez told FanRag Sports.

Both Hall-of-Famer were part of the Marlins organisation for more than 20 years and most recently worked as Special Assistants. Conine, in turn, was part of the franchise for 17 years.

The separations came after the new owner group around CEO Derek Jeter offered the trio significantly reduced salaries and roles in the organization.
