The winter sports circus officially kicked off the 2017/18 Olympic season with the Ski Alpin weekend in Sölden. Just as stormy as the start in Sölden, this winter will continue, because there are plenty of highlights waiting for the winter sports fans. The absolute highlight: the Olympic Games in the South Korean Pyeongchang.
The national qualification for the Winter Games will be based on the performance record within the World Cup series of the 2017/2018 season up to the 21st season. January 2018. The following nomination criteria apply to the Alpine Skiing, Nordic Combined, Biathlon and Ski Jumping sports: at least once the achievement of places 1 – 8 or at least twice the first – 15th place.
If more athletes meet the national qualification criteria than there are quota places available, the German Ski Association (DSV) can propose individual athletes.
