NBA: Curry and Kerr promote Pop as US President

Star coach Gregg Popovich of five-time champion San Antonio Spurs would be a dream US president, according to his companions,”He’s great for the NBA and would be even better for the country,”said superstar Stephen Curry about the politically committed and interested Popovich.

The 68-year-old, who has been in charge of the Spurs for more than two decades and is one of the most successful head coaches in NBA history, had repeatedly criticised US President Donald Trump in the past. Not least because Trump withdrew the usual invitation to the NBA champion – Currys Golden State Warriors this year – to the White House.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr, who was still playing under Popovich at the time, would see “Pop” as a great president because of his “honesty and integrity” and “I would vote for him, definitely,”Kerr said.
