Tony Parker has returned from the G-League and has rejoined the San Antonio Spurs. When he will make his comeback is still unclear.
About a week ago, the injured Parker had been sent to the G-League to Austin Spurs to advance his rehab. The Frenchman is still recovering from a tear in the quadriceps tendon which he had contracted during the past playoffs.
The fact that he is now training with the Spurs again is not an indication that he will soon be back on the scene again – certainly not in the next night in the game against the Warriors,”he will only play again when he is at 100 percent,”said coach Gregg Popovich in the course of a training session. This is probably not yet the case.
The same applies to Kawhi Leonard, who is struggling with a thigh injury. His comeback is also not yet foreseeable.
Before the top game against the Warriors, veteran Manu Ginobili said:”We need him[Leonard] to fight them, of course. But we don’t have him. And we’re not gonna cry about it, but just show our best basketball and hopefully win.”
