The former handball record champion VfL Gummersbach has reacted to the sporting downswing in the Bundesliga and dismissed his coach Dirk Beuchler after only four months in office. This was announced by the Oberbergische on Saturday.
The 46-year-old’s successor will be Gummersbach’s former U23 coach Denis Bahtijarevic, who lost nine out of eleven games of the season with his team and was recently defeated three times in a row.

Bahtijarevic, who was born in the former Yugoslavia, was already active in Gummersbach as a player, co-trainer and coach of various junior teams.
