Basketball: Bavaria win the top game and overtake Alba

FC Bayern Munich finished the run of Alba Berlin at BBL and took the lead in the standings from the capitals. The Munich team beat coach Aito Garcia Reneses’ team in the eighth round’s top game thanks to a strong third quarter of 80:70 (43:45).

One week after its success with series champion Brose Bamberg, Alba missed out on the seventh victory in a row. Munich and Berlin are now both 14:2 points, but the Bayern are leading the standings thanks to a better difference in points.

Already on Saturday Bamberg had found the trail again. The Swiss franc, which started with three defeats from the first six games, won 94:68 at Basketball Löwen Braunschweig and now have 8:6 points.
