DEL: Nuremberg loses again – Berlin wins

The Nuremberg Ice Tigers are threatening to lose their lead in the standings in the DEL following their second consecutive defeat to champions Red Bull Munich. The team of coach Rob Wilson lost 1:2 (0:0,0:1,1:0,1:0,1:0,1:0,1:0) to the Mannheim eagles after extra time and now has 42 points on the account.

National player Sinan Akdag met in the 62nd minute. The second minute after Nuremberg’s Philippe Dupuis saved his team in extra time four seconds before the end of the match.

Munich will receive the Düsseldorf EC on Sunday afternoon and could take the lead with a victory.

DEL-record champion Eisbären Berlin found after two defeats by a 5-2 (0-0,2-0,3-2) at Vice Champion Grizzlys Wolfsburg back on track for success.

Daniel Fischbuch (35th), James Sheppard (40th), Jamie MacQueen (41st), Jens Baxmann (48th) and Martin Buchwieser (60th) met for the capital club. Chad Costello (44.) and Kristopher Foucault (55.) were successful for the hosts.

Meanwhile, the Iserlohn Roosters continued their winning streak and celebrated their fourth victory in a row at the 4:1 (0:0,1:0,3:1) against former champion ERC Ingolstadt.
